Brad Feels Like Cooking Dinner (Brad's Place, St. Paul, MN): Light amber color. Drank a small pour from 500ml. There's a lot going on here. The fruit is a complex malange of ripe apple, baked apricot, orange marmalade, golden raisin and a even a red cherry note at times. This has got the acidity to totally handle the sweetness and there's some fantastic spice notes, in particular an orange cinnamon stick note. This has a lot of untuous goodness as well. This was in good shape and still has some years left.

From 37,5cl, dried out cork, broke on extraction. Dark gold/bronze colour; intriguing mint/peppermint aroma is the finest feature; very sweet entry of course, quite some caramel, but the low acidity makes for a dull mid-palate and a sullen finish. All in all not exactly distinguished, but Kracher is Kracher, even at this modest level (and they make the best of a grape varietal which I don't think I will ever learn to love). Drink up (86-)87P

Apricot, quince and brown sugar aromas. Palate has very good sweetness balanced with some bright acidity. Drinking near its peak now and over the next few years.

Dark golden orange-like colour; nose of apple / slightly acidic; very sweet, some acidity, lacking body.
