  • Really nicely aged wine. Really well in its stride. Neat to have an aged version of this. Rim was light brown orange. Nose really reminded me of a French Lirac wine, with alot of candied red fruit, darker tobacco/leafy notes but no discernible earth on the nose. Palate was steady over 4 hours with red/black fruits, nice bitter hints (licorice maybe?), savory and dark herbal flavors and some warm spice. tannins her pretty much just in the background, but had a solid acidity. Just a really good wine. So throw the new vintages in the cellar for a while!

  • Really intense nose, which gives off layers and layers of different aromas. It starts really bright and fruity, then spicy then smoky. Like the nose, the palate is really generous and fruity on the entry with dark but ripe berry fruits. There is a little grip but it’s super fine. Little spicy edge to the tannins with a smoky, charcoal note on the finish. Finishes long and fresh with lovely cleansing acidity.

  • Spice, pepper, meaty warm nose, red fruits. Gorgeous fine tannins keep this supple in the mouth. Excellent measured intensity throughout the palate, very long and warm on the finish. Good acid. Top stuff. I am a big fan of this winery. 13.5%. £32.

  • Visiting Tenerife Island - including Suertes del Marqués Winery (Tenerife - Spain): Profound colour with a dark core.
It wasn't as much ready as La Solana did but it had an extra on the nose, a softie touch of fresh blackberries and Indian spices.
In the mouth it conserved that elegant punch and bitter finish that I really appreciated.
Rich and persistent. A bottle with a soul.

Rico (abundante) y persistente. Una botella con alma.
