medium translucent ruby with orange bricking. nose with lots of tilled soil and earthy notes, cooked cherry, raspberry, dried orange rind, brown sugar, and dried bay leaf. light bodied with medium grade acidity. savory with slightly cooked cherry flavor. stony bite. shows some green tea notes at the end. medium length finish. faint fine tannins. opened up, smoothed out, and generally got better over 5 hours.

Coravin. Light youthful ruby; medium intensity aromatics, cherry, slight herbaceous quality which gives it complexity, slight minerality; light bodied, elegant red fruits with a bit of suppleness, balanced medium alcohol (12.3%), medium to medium-plus acid, simple fruits through the midpalate; clean medium length finish. An elegant red burgundy, pretty and balanced, and just a bit simple on the palate at this juncture. Drinkable now but will develop for 5-10 years. 90-91 2 hours air: Largely similar.

brief note. dinner with mom. fairly structured but opened up to very light and elegant wine within an hour in the glass. focused dark cherry flavors, mildly herbaceous and mineral. has the fruit to hold for 5-10 years.

Five good bottles opened. Tart cherry and herb nose, pretty. Light weight, elegant and young.
