  • A perfect Thanksgiving pairing. This is a pretty cranberry rose', with a creamy mousse. The nose is clean, youthful, simple, and medium intensity, with tart red fruit aromas. The palate is secco, which equates to off-dry (or maybe "extra dry" in sparkling terminology). The acidity is medium to medium (+) and balances out the sugar nicely. The alcohol is medium (-) at 11%. The flavors are consistent with the nose, with a medium-long, tart, spicy finish. This is a very pleasant, well-made, food-friendly wine. It is drinking well not and is not intended for further aging. One of the better Lambrusco I've ever had.

  • I really enjoy this wine. Quite drier than expected, with wonderful strawberry/ cranberry aromas. This is quite a unique wine

  • The Vecchia Modena is the best Lambrusco I have tasted. This may sound like dubious praise but Lambruscos I've tasted in the past have been sparkling red wine which has never worked for me. The Vecchia Modena Premium is a bright cranberry color with a striking nose of cranberry and just a whisper of soft strawberry. The palate is medium bodied, clean, and refreshing and the slight effervescence is just right. A wee bit pricy at $20 but very tasty so I recommend throwing down for a bottle. 11% alcohol. I was going to take a stab at naming the varietal here but after reading more extensively about the varietals used in Lambrusco I'm just going to stick with the grape that goes by the same name. Good juice.

  • Pairs well with peach, prosciutto, pistachio and arugula salad with fig vinaigrette. Definitely can taste tart red cherries.
