Q/p ottimo (13,9 euro)

I bought a bottle of this and the Fiano to try out this producer and likely drank the Fiano too soon (it was good but not especially memorable). I generally prefer Fiano over Greco, but this bottle was terrific. Lots of mineral and pear, medium body, and crisp. A thumbs up and Pietracupa is definitely on the list for its whites.

Popped and poured, then followed over three days. Straw yellow, clear. 1. day: sweet citron, fresh, sour, and also sweet brioche. Beguiling. Less sweet and less expressive on day 2 and 3, but still fine. On the palate fresh, with body, but immediately compensated by the acidity. Flavours mirror the nose aromas, a bit of sweetness, citrus fruit, but also very mineral. Very tense finish. Beautiful. It lost precision and complexity on day 2 and 3.

Shy nose, but apples, lime and great acidity on the palate, refreshing and great to drink, very good.
