Yes and Yes. No longer had the Cal-Napa punch (if it ever had it) – but was smooth – with a very decent finish. And was not that super-extracted sludge that you get at the store. Second bottle WAS a 2011 young/fruity Cal-Cab and it served to highlight how nice the Pine Ridge was.
In retrospect, should have served it with roast-chicken type of food – but was very fine.
