Definitely a favorite of mine. This is what I what I wish all Oregon producers would try to acheive with with their Chardonnay. It has definitively expressive fruit notes, but mostly stone fruits (pear, green apple and some apricot) but still maintains a racy mineral backbone with a slate quality.
This is a very clean and polished Chardonnay. The aromatics are light, yet complex with salty cantaloupe, pineapple, Jonagold apples, and a bit of toast. The palate has a full feel to it with an interesting balance of tart fruit, cantaloupe rind, fresh pastry, and popsicle stick. This is delicious on its own, but it seems neglectful not to pair it with seafood.
