  • Poured out two glasses & slow ox'd an hour. The nose is a mix of savory & floral notes. The palate is a great example of everything in balance/harmony. Rich red fruit, briny notes & some wild tannin w/ a hint of brett. Rich & deep, but never heavy. Nice wine.

Paired w/ grilled hanger steak & a Mediterranean chickpea stew. 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 20% Carignan.

  • Not sure if I have had a wine from this appellation? If not this is a very good start. Lots of body and serious structure with wonderful gravel and meat on the tannins. Good drive and weight; not what I would have expected from a modestly priced LR wine. Will go a few years yet.

  • A smoky nose, like charcoal and asphalt on top of the red and black plum fruit, currant skins, dried flowers, leather. On the palate, the freshness is very nice, with firm but manageable tannins, some crispness from the acid. Dark plum, currant and pomegranate fruit is snappy but smoky. I like the charcoal, chestnut and black pepper notes. A blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 20% Carignan.
