Very respectable considering the price. Has aged very well and has a lot of fruit left. Full bodied with intense flavor. Medium finish. Very soft tannins. Paired well with dinner.

At opening,.aromas of red berries, Pipe tobacco, on the palate rich candied fruit up front, minerals, layered vanilla finished with a well integrated charred oak finish. I've had this wine before and it gets very rich and concentrated after an hour in a decanter. Finding a zin that will out drink this in an $11 price range will be very difficult. Most zins at this price are artificial, mass produced styled fruit bombs

Overall this wine is a bit weak but okay for a weekday wine. There's a blend of red fruit and some spice. Then palate goes sweet with some strawberry and chocolate notes. The finish is pretty weak. Some heat, that's not that pleasant. The wine is okay. But, wouldn't buy. This one was brought to us at a party/potluck.

Okay. Still has some fruit. Needs plenty of time to open. Pairs well with food.
