This is the first Merrilltage that I know of a spicy red blend. This wine gives the appearance of a lighter ruby color with a nose of dark berries, smoke, and esters. The palate reveals a medium bodied blend with a tart fruit and lingering tannin. The wine is well balanced and quite quaffable. This should go well with both lighter fare as well as pork, chicken.
