Last of few and this was the best which shows what can happen when these beasts are left alone for a dozen years. One of the wines of the year. Everything you can read below is true but the extra time has allowed resulted in harmony and complexity. If you find one...buy it but share it.15.5 ABV!

Cloudy inky in color. Rich luscious to taste, but also a bit syrupy and a little too sweet. This is a great big wine for lovers of caymus who want to try something different. Long finish. Much bigger and more one dimensional than top CA or Rhône Grenache blends. Would pair well with steak.

Medium+ intensity, black fruit, stewed fruit, jam, cloves, chocolate and leather. Medium+ tannins and HIGH alcohol (15.5%!!!).
I'm the odd man out on this wine, as I only thought it was good. The rest of the group gave it a very good or even outstanding. This is too much like an overblown, overripe, high alcohol, California fruit bomb for me to like. I tried several times to give it a chance after it sat awhile but it's still the same. I have no idea what food you could possibly pair this with.

Dark purple Rich intense dark fruits aroma with hints of red pomme granate, ripe raisins and plums. Rich full body, high acidity, excellent harmony and balance, noble rusticity, long alcoholic ending.
