Medium amber color. Intense aromas of orange zest, quince, dried apricot, honey, botrytis. Full bodied, with high acidity, very sweet on finish. Little cloying.

This absolutely killed it last night. Served just prior to the 86 Climens, this offered near electric excitement - not just for the level of cut from the gushing acidity, but from the explosion of freshness on the nose and palate alike - not always do the two align, and we were all grateful this was so giving, so complete, yet so youthful and alive, too. Apricots on steroids. People often say 'though not cloying', this is the type of wine that's at the foundation of such an expression - it's sweet, but it's not. Love this variety, and this bottle offered such an exciting end to a night of very fine wines, food and company. Should hold a decade or more, but not sure if it's going to get more fun than it is just now. highly recommended
PnP, served non-blind.

Better than a few days ago. Color even deeper amber, same sweet nose. Wonderful depth. Texture even thicker. Apricot and honey all over.

Wine & Spirits Top 100 Tasting (City Walk @ Metreon, San Francisco, CA): Apricot; rich, sweet, balanced, fades quickly. Enjoyable but slightly cloying. 89-90
