  The wine was dark garnet in colour and threw some sediment. It offered dark fruit, blackberry, pencil shaving, tobacco, a hint of chocolate, spices and minty herbal notes on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed ripe dark fruit, blackberry, black pepper, a hint of chocolate, graphite and herbal notes, with good acidity, well-integrated tannin and average to good length of the dry (not drying) finish. Solid.

  Bill's Monthly Lunch - April 2011: Deep ruby red in colour, tons of mint and basil notes on the nose, undoubtedly new world. Dark blueberry fruit with some greenness. Full body, high acid, medium tannins. Good

  This wine keeps improving with age. A very impressive showing of fruit and dense material, refined through aging. High alcohol, but not hot. Really excellent, perfect for barbeque.
  
  Ce vin continue à s'améliorer avec l'âge. Une impressionnante démonstration fruitée et dense, affinée par les années passées en cave. Beaucoup d'alcool, mais bien intégré donc pas excessif. Vraiment excellent, parfait pour un barbeque.

  Color showing signs of evolution. Red berries on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied. Lots of character, beautiful balance between fruit & alcohol (both high - this is New World after all...), and well integrated tannins. Excellent. At maturity, will keep another couple of years.
  
  Robe indiquant des signes d'évolution. Nez de fruits rouges. Pas mal de corps. Très corsé, beaucoup de caractère, superbe équilibre entre les fruits et l'alcool d'un côté (tous deux élevés - c'est un vin du Nouveau Monde après tout...), et des tannins bien intégrés d'autre part. Excellent. A maturité - se gardera encore quelques années.
