First taste from Coravin; light/med ruby with a little fade at the rim; certainly an exotic character to the nose, spice, red fruits, a little clove from the oak perhaps? On the palate, this is reasonably grippy and the alcohol sticks out somewhat. Flavours fall a bit flat. Takes a lot if swirling around the mouth to coax them out. All over the place right now, hopefully an awkward adolescence!

This was exceptional day 1 and day 2. Lovely light texture with intriguing Vosne spiciness. Mix of red and black fruit. Juicy and fleshy fruit but still very elegant. Not 1er cru complexity but very good for villages.

While very young, and a shame to drink this early, this was the WOTN at our Pinot class. Dark berry, cherry, earth, barnyard, spice. Good acidity and medium tannins. Full body, great texture, nice long finish. Worth laying a couple down for a few years.

Parfumé, épicé, riche, au fruit éclatant. Peu complexe, mais doté d'une belle gourmandise et profondeur pour son rang. 90-91

After WWS, KEVIN & KELLY IN BURGUNDY – FAIVELEY, BOUZEREAU, MERME, REMOISSENET, DUJAC & COMTE LIGER-BELAIR; 11/11/2013-11/14/2013 (Burgundy): My favorite of the village reds. Complex nose, blue fruits, blackberries and a hint exotic spices. Medium body, quite polished and enjoyable.
