Dark, almost completely opaque pomegranate color. The youthful purple hue has disappeared almost completely. The nose is quite reticent and somewhat earthy with vague aromas of crunchy cranberries and a barnyardy hint of manure. There seems to be a hint of CO2 prickle on the palate. Otherwise the wine appears light-bodied, dry and crunchy on the palate with pure flavors of sour cherries, cranberries and other lively, tart red fruits. High in acidity with almost no tannins to speak of. The finish is a bit thin and short with light sense of bitterness and vague flavors of cranberries, some tart lingonberries, a little bit of stony minerality and a subtle touch of tannic grip.
A simple, one-dimensional and crunchy little Beaujolais. All the "Nouveau" characteristics - estery banana aromas and luminous purple hue from the appearance - have faded away, leaving a foursquare little Gamay behind. Pretty uninspiring as a wine, but works as a mediocre table wine for lighter dishes.

Huge nose, large aroma of grapes popsicles and stewed plums. Didn't stick around to smell for more.
Tannins present, some residual sweetness, medium acidity. Short in the mouth and unbalanced. Some sour cherries on the tongue. A rich wine, not for me.

Had several in my cellar from last year and had to drink them. Actually pretty damn good with a year or more under their belt. At the limit though.

I'm not sure if this wine had turned or wasn't great to begin with. I cooked with some and added the read to sangria.

Strangely enough, this is still drinking really well over 2 days. Rating is based on a BN scale, not an all-beaujolais scale.

Tannins present, some residual sweetness, medium acidity. Short in the mouth and unbalanced. Some sour cherries on the tongue.
A rich wine, not for me.
