Dark colored. Black berries, earth and mushroom. The body is medium. The tannins are noticeable but in a rounded fashion. Dry finish and medium length.

Nice - elegant and rather restrained - on the nose. Initially also fine palate but over an hour the fruit disappeared. Drink up - and preferably in good company where you drink up fast!

Since the spring approaches I wanted a nice Beaujolais along with a light meal outside. But the weather turn from sunny to rainy and cloudy - almost like in autumn. So, instead I felt like making roastbeef with root vegetables accompanied by a nice glass of Barbaresco. Obvious notes of burnt and roasted herbs and tobacco combined with earthy notes of mushrooms. The color has a beautiful ruby red color with a nice brown hue. 8 years old Barbaresco and you see why these wines are age worthy wines
