  • This is not your (fill in bland wine consumer)'s Pinot Gris. This has a profile more like a richer and minerally Alsatian pinot. It's got some nice clove and other spices, but not intrusively. This goes nicely with all manner of fish, and could pair well with chicken in a cream sauce or with herbs. Hendry can't possibly make any money with this kind of careful growing and vinification, but maybe the loyalty this engenders pays off elsewhere. Really well done.
