  Good body for a Malbec. Dry on the palate with high tannins. But what do I know?

  Balans. Detta vin är balans personifierat. Om någon undrar vad begreppet innebär alltså. Balans kan också vara lite tråkigt och tillrättalagt, vilket inte är fallet här turligt nog.
  
  Frukten andas röda plommon men även lite torkad frukt åt korinter och helt klart lite björnbär med en gnutta viol och mynta. Schyssta fat med mörk choklad, aningen kokos, läder och ceder. Första intrycket andas tydligt nya världen med generös och yppig frukt, men under ytan finns även en hel del ryggrad och struktur samt även lite komplexitet och nyansrikedom med delikat blyertssvalka och lite blodig mineralitet.
  
  Balans! Detta subjektiva begrepp, som för mig innebär att alla delar i vinet samspelar utan att någon del tar över.
  
  Sa jag att det var ett balanserat och trevligt vin med lite hull runt höfterna i fyllig stil? Jo, så är det, dessutom är det riktigt gott. Allt detta trots en riklig dos av alkohol och en rejält fyllig kropp. Det krävs ju en stor kropp för att bära upp all alkohol tänker jag. Ett vin att njuta av nu, även om det säkert klarar lite lagring.

  Medium+ intense aromas of blackcurrant jelly, oak, roasted coffee, chocolate, raisins, mint, vanilla and some cherries.
  
  Medium acidity, lots of fruit but manages to stay on the dry side. Light bitterness, probably from the oak. Round with just hints of tannins. Full bodied, high intensity and a medium+ finish with a slight alcoholic warmth to it.
  
  This is a high quality wine that I don't really fancy at all. Well made and under the circumstances (15% abv) well balanced. Might gain some needed complexity and depth with age, but at the moment it is just lots of fruit and oak in a XXL suit.
