Eleven years on from the vintage, this humble halbtrocken is drinking very well. Toasted apple (yep), mineral, mint and just the subtlest hint of sweetness are balanced by bracing acidity. Delicious to sip on its own and a fabulous wine for food.

Very mineral and nearly dry, this is a lovely Riesling for an aperitif or dinner. There's not much in teh way of fruit, but a nice sense of richness on the back end, makes it a complete if not the most interesting wine. Good drink.

Drinking very nicely right now with fresh fruit, some developing creaminess and stony mineral notes all coming together into a whole. It's not a particularly complex wine, but there's a sense of harmony and seamlessness to the flavours and a level of refreshment that makes it very enjoyable right now.

Our experience with Riesling has been limited and relatively unrewarding to this point but I like this wine. It has flavors of crisp apple, exotic citrus, a nice mineral undertone and just the right touch of nutty sweetness. My wife matched it with mustard pork roast and honey apple sauce. It was a good combination.

Just the barest hint of sweetness (more likely just fruit) to go along with concentrated, steely minerals. This is refreshing, food friendly & while not showing much in terms of developed flavors, it is about as ready to go as you could ask. Gulpable!
