Gave extra point for the overall QPR factor here...don't always do that. This is a low price wine in CAN - 15$ @ La Boutique De Vino. The label and designation in CT is all over the place, likely at least 3 different entries. I have tried to keep to the truest. The producer is part of larger group of wine makers called "Grupo Matarromera". This is a perfect balance for me of oak and dark luscious fruit. Nose and palate come off as a lightly smoked mix of dark cherry/berry fruit that has that chocolate milk quality. Deep and a hint of cigar box on finish. Nice complexity that requires some kind of food and deeper appreciation, along with i thing fall/winter environment. This is now 2 years old, but could last a few years for sure. An update in winter 2015 would be appropriate!
