This was a double magnum drunk over 6-7 weeks using a coravin (yes it did fit the neck, though it was a struggle). The wine was widely shared with others and remained alive throughout. I was surprised it still had some tannin thought the fruit was pretty subdued.

located between Sauternes and Entre Deux Mers. On one of the highest hills in Bordeaux at 350ft. Dark red fruit aromas. shows just a little bit of roast to the nose. not quite into roast coffee, but roast. 40ha of which 36ha are red grapes.

63% Merlot, 32% Cab Sauv, 5% Cab Franc. Again, classic feel, black fruit aromas, some fresh red fruit notes on the edges. Plump fruit aromas. Not overdone. Palate is med/+, med tannin. Not thy the coffee of the 09, instead a little Violet on the palate. A BS of superieur stance.

Vanilla and dark fruits up front. Then finishes off spicy, black pepper, with a mix of prune. A nice mix of favors through the palate. A nice drinking wine. Not amazing but a good wine to have with red meat.

Looks brilliant medium ruby red in the bad airplane light. Nose of deep purple fruits. This is a somewhat harsh, rustic wine, full of blackberry bramble and cedar wood, both of which dominate the much less noticeable underlying red fruit profile. There is a touch of sweetness on the front palate before the forest attack. The finish is like chewing on a damp twig. 80. Caveat: drank on a Delta flight from London to Minneapolis-St. Paul.
