  • In a nice place - and doing just what a BDX Superior should do - be an interesting, nice accompaniment to a weeknight meal. Nose meaty, earthy blueberry with currant hints. Hints of tobacco. This is not a terribly subtle wine with great complexity, but plenty to hold my attention and keep me coming back for another sip. palate reasonably balanced with enough acidity and tannins to support the fruit. Secondary development good, if not hugely complex. A solid wine not trying to be grand cru at a very reasonable price.

  • Très bon vin pour accompagner un repas de viande rouge. Se prend également bien avec un fromage bleu ou cheddar.

  • Strong plum and blueberry suggesting merlot dominance. Enough structure and black currant saying there’s a decent chunk of cab. Slight tobacco and herbal notes. Fruit well balanced on palate with pronounced pipe tobacco note. Long finish of fruit. Tannins there but softened. A very clean well made wine that hits well above price point. Doesn’t scream of high complexity or greatness but dang it is right on.

  • Day 1 it was very tight, but some simple Bordeaux flavours peeked through (dark fruit, minerals, tannin). Hopeful that tonight we will find more and fuller flavours.

  • Good QPR.

(Not a bold, ripe, concentrated, full bodied New World Cab/Merlot.)

Classic, intermingled layers of black currant skins, black cherry juice, delicate purple florals, dried tobacco, pencil shavings, graphite, gravel and worn leather. Round, supple, and medium-bodied, with dusty, dry tannins and balanced acid. Shorter finish. Paired well with simple seared filet and garlic potatoes. Not going to change the world, though a great weekday value. I would buy again for $15.
