Just as with prior bottles, this is drinking well now, and I see no room for further improvement. Mostly tertiary at this point, with only a hint of juicy primary at the beginning. Flavor profile quickly darkens, coming off some initial red fruit to flavors more in the purple fruit part of the spectrum, but there's a dominant savory and earthy aspect to this now --- shoe leather; aged Cabernet leather; black tea. Pretty impressive, given its humble pedigree.

NOSE: Pencil shavings; aged red fruits; at times a light oxidized character peaks-through, too.
BODY: garnet color with bricking throughout; color is of medium-deep to deep depth; medium-light bodied.
TASTE: tastes clearly of aged Bdx.; medium-strong aged Bdx. funk; a touch dry; little hit of pyrazine; purple-fruited, for the most part, with occasional dalliances with the red-fruited portion of the spectrum; crayon wax; high acidity; hint of cocoa powder. Consistent across two bottles. Drink Now and over the near term.

Actually better on Day 4 than on Day 1. Time to drink up, though.
