  • Perfectly okay, but nothing special. A little too thin, too sweet, too colorless.

  • Twenty Years On Wines, Some Luxury at Home; 4/19/2024-5/9/2024 (Alicante y Madrid - España): By the glass. Majority blend of cabernet sauvignon that ages year and a half in mixed barrels of second use. Tons of fresh fruit on the nose mainly intense aromas of cassis, blackcurrants and wild blueberries. It also presents spicy notes from oak. A touch of salt expression of the terroir too. Wide bottle in mouth, somewhat brusque and abruptly tannic finish. A bottle to be enjoyed sooner than later.

  • Agree with other community notes. Young wine even as a 2019, but great now if decanted for 1-2 hours. Had it as a pre-dinner wine with charcuterie tray - worked well. Very light at front of palate with developing flavors at back of palate. I’d definitely buy again & it’s a very reasonable price point - I paid $18.

  • Best with 2 hour decant. Was planning to decant about an hour but dinner was delayed. Turned out that was good luck. Tasted along the way and was actually better at 40 min than 60-90 min (regressed) but then best at 2 hours and still going at 3. So either pop and pour or really give a proper decant. I will be buying more to lay down a couple years. One of the least expensive wines to warrant space in my cellar.

  • Ch Senejac continues to be a great performer from the Haut Medoc. Correct dark ruby color, nose is a bit closed, but minerality and a little cigar box show through. In the mouth, though it brims with dark cherry, bramble and oak. The tannins are pronounced but the acidity keeps it manageable. A solid effort for a reasonable price.
