Supps at KC's (KC's place): Finally got round to pulling the top on this wine after some cork sinkage at a previous Coravin tasting. Popped and poured then consumed over the course of about 2 hours. On opening the nose showed a fair amount of cellar stink, plenty of leather, some musty paperwork. With time in the glass (and air) earth, a little baking spice, muted dark brambly fruit. The palate was marred by that cellar stink note which, though it receded, never entirely departed. Tannins were barely evident. Pretty much dead but not flawed - just old.

Ripening and maturing, but still not terribly impressive.
