Coonawarra Roadshow (Town Hall, Sydney): Generous black currant fruit, slight pyrazine, slight vanilla chocolate and spice, cream and slight cigar box. In the mouth almost Ribena fruit initially then spicy drying, grippy tannins shut things down with some alcohol warmth on the finish. Hmm.

United Cellars Bordeaux tasting 2015 (Harbour 220/L15 131 Macquarie Street): Aromas of biscuit, cream, cassis, vanilla and chocolate - quite worked in fact. On agitation the fruit gains in concentration as well as introducing a quite warm alcohol prickle here as well. In the mouth there is generous black fruit, cream, vanilla backed by relatively silky tannins, the first 'ready to go' wine so far tonight though will stand cellaring. Quite a whack of alcohol warmth on the long finish. good.
