I only paid $16 for this, so i guess I shouldn't complain. However, I had it alongside a 2012 Roussillon red that retails for $12.99, and the $12.99 red blew it away. Light body, short finish - what's to like?

Comparable to a bottle five months ago. Reasonably complex, with a pretty good finish, but it's a lightweight, and it's starting to fade. Time to drink up.

Better than a bottle three months ago. Same (tart) cherries on the nose and on the palate, but this time I picked up hints of smoke and garrigue. In other words, it was more complex than my previous bottle. Nice mouthfeel and a solid finish, but it's a pretty light wine that would be overwhelmed by, for example, a grilled steak. Contrary to my notes the last time, this is definitely a cut above most $10 to $12 Cotes du Rhones.

Mostly dark cherries on both the nose and the palate, but not much else. Fairly rich, with a much better-than-average finish for this price range. Better than a $10 grocery store Cotes du Rhone, but I can think of several in the $12 to $14 range that outshine it. Seems to be at its peak and may not last more than another six months to a year.
