  • PnP. Raspberry chews, fresh blueberries and black cherry. Fruity and polished on opening but the structure came through over time, with a certain stalky sourness on the finish on day two. Immediately pleasurable upon opening but each glass evolved so really interested in how this will continue to develop. It stayed in the primary range of things over two days and the structure is there to support, so I think it has some time left.

  • Second bottle of six, showed very well at the table, time to get a few out of storage to have on hand! Extremely drinkable, beautiful pinot fruit, a little sauvage.

    -1) Punt Road Australien 2021

The reference wine was important in that it showed the crowd how an uncomplicated PN from Burgundy behaves. The Punt Road also contributed by being fruit forward and slightly warmer than the rest. New world in a nice way.

For many this was WOTN. I guess the maturity adds that dimension the others really couldn't offer up. So evolved and pleasurable. Some cigar even. Very nice!

  • Sweet concentrated fruit, like a forest fruit rollup. Vanilla oak, fine integrated tannin. Just a mere hint of fallen leaves. Will last some time yet.
