  • Earth and mature black cherry on both nose and palate. Good weight for its level, but getting prematurely tired, with a slightly drying finish I found surprising. Best to drink up.

  • Medium ruby with early fading. All sour cherry on the nose. Light weight, high acidity, and combination of that typical fruit character and soil-true Gevrey. Probably at its peak right after the bottle was opened, it became attenuated and more spare from that point onward. Last year I wondered if the fruit had begun to drop out; now there is little question that this is the case.

  • Light ruby with bricking. All earth to start, but with air, some delicate red fruit emerged. Light weight, cool and savory with high acidity. Very stylish and very Gevrey. Excellent but dwarfed a bit by the bigger, richer Chevillon that we tried next to it. Looking back at my note from almost 4 years ago, I wonder if its fruit has begun to fade.

  • Pretty floral and red fruited aromatics, but this comes across a little thin and shrill in the mouth with the acidity sticking out and overwhelming the other components.

  • Gorgeous nose of mushrooms, truffles, sous bois, bright cherries. Attractive and fairly complex secondary development. Agree with previous reviewer that the palate does not match up to the nose. But the wine remains fresh and still young with structure that seem to promise to develop further. Would like to revisit again in a few years.
