Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Level good & cork in excellent condition. (The bottle was cellared since purchase directly from the producer.) Yellow, then yellow-orange and, finally, orange-yellow colour. A pungent nose, then some hazelnut, but this becomes too orange-citrus pungent with slight sherry notes, as well. After five hours, this hasn't deteriorated any further. The palate had improved from the pungently-flavoured, rather fiercely acidic and 'beyond-best' white Burgundy, to show a sweetness which was quite delectable toward the end of the bottle. Good plus.
