In hindsight, I didn't give this bottle the respect it deserved. It was served a tad too cold and drunk a tad too quickly, and it wasn't paired with the right food. Surprisingly light in color given its age. Aromas and flavors of honeyed melon, stone fruits, and fine minerality. It opened considerably with time in the glass; in fact, I recommend decanting or opening 30 minutes prior to serving. Quite zippy and definitely not over the hill. Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.

3/6/2020 - Ms. Bubblehead Likes this wine:
Although this was very nice, it was a bit simple and one dimensional with honey crackers and slight hints of yellow fruit.

Honey, stone fruit and minerals. Preferred the 93 on the side as the wine showed more dimension on the palate.

Pre-Paulee Birthday Dinner (Jardiniere - San Francisco CA): An impressive performance for a 1991, this showed lots of reasonably fresh apple, moderate intensity, but overall very good balance.
