I wound up with three of these, and they are quite good. Really a nice appellation wine. We took the third to Seder and it was close to WOTN. In my opinion, better than a Burgundy brought by another guest. Acids are a little light and it's a little simple, but overall, no complaints.

What a difference 5 months makes. This is now showing very nicely. Still presenting an absolutely quintessential RRV Pinot profile...darker cherry/plum fruits and underbrush (sassafras), a terrific sense of place. Either previous bottle was an outlier or tannin has settled down, in either event it did not cut short the finish.

Classic RRV profile, but structure is currently dominating. I'll savor John's Sonoma Coast pinot while giving these a year or two more. Sure to be worth the wait. 1st rate operation, terrific QPR.

Strong notes of cherries and other fruits. The palate id very generous and will pair nicely with autumn foods. Drink now through 2016.

Mushrooms, blackberry, and shishito peppers, a great combo in a rich Pinot.
