Garnet in color. Nose has forest floor, earth and dried mushroom. Palate some roasted tannin, gently stewed red fruit. and a touch of cranberry. Drying finish. Pleasant and mildly interesting, but the stewed/roasted aspect detracts from this. Very Good.

Savigny at RSJ (RSJ Restaurant, London): Slightly smokey, dusty fruit nose. Quite dense red fruit on the palate. Lacks a bit of definition. Decent grip though.**1/2

Portland...a new friend visits (Portland): Color: brickish red
Smell: bell pepper, manure, and earth
Taste: Melange of red fruits
Overall: a simple and easy drinking Burgundy. Not bad...but not great either.
