  • A blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Syrah. Has a fairly robust, spicy nose and shows a nice dark color in the glass. To me this tastes more like Grenache than Syrah; lots of dark fruit, soft mouthfeel, low acidity. Medium bodied, but not much punch. Finishes smoothly. Light tannins and little oak. Not a lot wrong with this, but not a lot right, either. It's hard to put my finger on what's lacking, but it's just not exciting wine. Just lies there in the glass and plays dead. Doesn't live up to its $15 price tag. Would drink soon, don't see it improving.
