  • Initially the nose was a little bit off and I thought it might have been due to bad provenance together with age. It soon cleared however and the wine was delectable. It combines the Xinomavro fragrance and flavour with the other verieties (Merlot and Syrah I think) adding sweetness, flesh and body to the austere structure of Xin. Full bodied, structured, flavorful and though it soon needs to be drank up, it was not past its best after all.
A little left over drank on the next day was superb, clean and aromatic!

  • Quite dark, dense fresh but on the forward side without been a heavy handed wine, albeit a modern expression. Has definitely been in contact with oak but carries it well. Violets, dark fruits and well made wine. Still very young and needs time to evolve but one can not argue this is not a quality wine. We would definitely like to cross paths with it again in a few years. 90ish for the moment.

  • Very dark purple. Sweet nose of chocolate, blackberries, dark plums, vanilla, liquorice, cinnamon, violets and sweet oak. Medium to full-bodied with rich, ripe fruit, firm tannins and medium acidity. Long aftertaste. Still youthful, will benefit from a couple of years of further cellaring. Modern wine with a new world twist.

  • Very dark ruby-purple colour. Oak-dominated nose, with vanilla, cinnamon, new wood, alongside dark plums, violets and dark berry jam. On the palate it is full-bodied and dense with firm tannins, high fruit concentration albeit somewhat jammy fruit, med+ acidity and a long aftertaste. Very young at this stage, but ambitious and promising. Need to revisit after 2-3 years.

  • Fairly restrained nose, with notes of blackberry, pepper, caper, and smoke. Palate is defined by its colossal acidity, which dominates sweet fruit that would seem cordial-like in any other red: blackberry, lemon zest, black olive, and charred oak. Has a nice touch of bitter tannin.
