  • Showing almost no signs of age. Not opening up much. Dumb phase?

  • Hard to believe that I'm the first to review this wine. Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Deep garnet color. Nice nose that's strongly herbal, followed by raspberry, spice, and blueberry. Medium-bodied on the palate, with interesting but not forbidding acid balance. Metallic flavors evolved toward anise with exposure to air. It leans toward tartness without reaching it (which is favorable). The finish is drying, with light tannins and a bit of grip. Overall, very pleasant, delicious, and interesting enough to age a few years. Very good QPR as well.
