During a 2012 Burgundy blind tasting dinner. Overall the vintage showed quite tannic still and with a wide dispersion between the top names and lesser known Domains. Definitely drink the 2013 and 2014 before the 2012 and stick to quality producers. TN: Rustic, earhty, tight, I was guessing NSG, drying fruit on the finish. No, I'll pass on this one.

needed an hour or so to open up, and still fairly tight. Nice Pernand slightly astringent note, with subdued fruit and slight sour berry note. Lots of time left to age

Drinking really well right now, but clearly still young. Reticent nose, slight amount of reduction. Medium body, soft cherry core surrounded by somewhat gritty tannins. Definitely on the rustic side, but feels like there's an underlying elegance that may come out with time once the rough edges are sanded down. Still very good now, but I'd hold if you only have one.

Deep color. The nose is tight, showing aromas of red fruits, spice, flowers and earth. This is medium full bodied on the palate with good concentration and decent finesse. The medium plus length finish shows ripe, refined tannins.
