Not the best year for this wine, a little more acidity that it should have, right after opening the bottle it was very strong, we had to wait more than an hour and decanted the wine to have a better feeling and more balanced taste. Hoping to taste another vintages and compare.

Drinking at its best. Won't improve and I would say drink up now.
Classic BDX. Hitting all the expected notes. Just a little uninteresting.
Amaze dinner tonight. Roasted broccoli and a crazy pork chop dish for dinner.
Perfect evening. Oh, and Fast X playing in the background. (Terrible movie lolz)

Probably the antithesis of those who enjoy fuller, richer wines. This is lean, fresh, with red fruit, cedar, pencil, some oak, some cigar. I would start drinking these up at this point, but no hurry.

Had very low expectation of the 2013 Alter Ego because a friend said it was very bad, but it wasn’t that bad (probably due to the low expectation). Quite acidic but quite smooth. Would taste quite ok if drinking with some fatty meat. Quite dead after an hour or so though
