Similar to previous TNs just not worth the price paid in our special part of the world. So many other meritous Merlots for under CAD60 to seek out and sample. Drink up!

This bottle was not decanted unlike previous tastings. Stood the bottle for one week - there has been a lot of residue in the past. Was less jammier than previous. Quite thick and dark and obviously took some time to unwind in the glass. Really a delight an hour or so in. Fig and cherry on the nose. Drier textured fruits on the palate. Grippy tannins but not unpleasant. Acid and alcohol in balance. Good long finish. Some complexity. Still some potential for the next few years. Paired with oven-roasted chicken.

Part of a Merlot Blind Tasting. This was mistaken by me and others for a Napa Merlot. Super smooth vanilla oaked beast. Hard to justify the price for this when one could buy two bottles of premium Merlot from Cali, Wash. or Canada (BC).

No formal note. This was one of six merlots at a blind tasting. It was very nice, gorgeous nose. The mouthfeel was so smooth. This was like a big fluffy pillow. I guessed it was Napa. I think if I had $100 burning a hole in my pocket, I'd go for a Guado Al Tasso instead for a multi-dimensional experience.
