Pepper or leather on the nose to followed by some raspberry and hints of spice. A nice wine but marred by a slight burning sensation due to the alcohol.

Decanted for 1/2 hour, started out with big rasperry and bit of white pepper on the nose and endless blackberries on the palate. Concentrated, full-bodied, rich and nicely balanced. I called it 'borderline jammy', but my wife disagreed...she thinks 'jammy' is very bad. After about 1 1/2 hours in decanter, it opened up nicely with big floral notes and cherries and a big richness on the nose. Balanced all the way through at this point. Nice stuff which could stay in the cellar for a while. 15% alcohol.

Deep color with notes of black cherries and tobacco. Medium body and soft finish. Drink now
