I didn't experience any off or stinky smells, just creamy, toasty lemony aromas. On the palate it too shows more weight, and dare I say breadth than a Hunter example. There is a greater spectrum of flavour here, with a refined richness on the palate.

Not a Hunter Valley semillon then but a highly enjoyable drink all the same. Very balanced between fruit vs acid, the wine is racy without being too light or skinny. Melon, apple and a bit of orange zest, it had a nice body and a good finish with a hint of minerals. What stopped it from getting a higher score was lack of depth and complexity. Drink now or 4+ years.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #123; Australia, Margaret River (By SB): Beautiful, pleasantly stinky bouquet. Minerals, glazier's putty, toast and smoke. On the palate white fruits, apricots, honey and minerals. A bit fat. Need to taste again I suppose. I scored it 88 while the others here rate it much higher.

Neutral nose, honey and acid tasterisk. A bit thin, no VAT 1!

Herbal with a terrific mouth feel. I'd guessed barrel fermented. Very fine.
