Brought to Le Parisien in Vancouver. Medium dark ruby, no bricking. Dark nose of riper pinot fruit, blackberry and black raspberry. Palate has plenty of acidity which is great and it finishes with a tart dark cranberry/raspberry note. Soft and silky in the mouth and while it’s weighty, it’s not heavy. A hint of dried fruit comes through on the medium length finish. There’s extra level of darkness/ripeness/warmth that you typically wouldn’t see in a Burg, but it’s one of the better new world pinots I’ve had. This is just entering its drinking window and should drink well for another few years at least. Very good.

This is definitely a central coast pinot noir, big in every way (not my preferred style for pinot). Easily mistaken for a cab/merlot blend. Opaque purple in the glass. Nice note of cherry, pepper and herbs, but fades quickly. Medium to full bodied, and a bit hot/alcoholic. A very good wine.

Black cherry, cola, charcoaled grilled meat, a little orange blossum and dried leaf, and a hint of white pepper. Given the brooding nature of the nose, it was a surprise to find real energy on the palate and the addition of red fruits. An interesting high density corduroy texture. Finishes powerfully, with strong charcoal note, tar and verve. Over a couple of hours there was an increasing bright minerality. Peaking and should be good for 2-3 years.

Very nice bottle. Plenty of backbone to go longer. Nice complex cherry flavor profile. Delicious. I think I will hold off drinking my last one until at least two years.
