Meh. Very drinkable ... because it is not offensive! Restrained mid-palate, lightish for a Syrah, smooth finish, kinda one-note monotonous wine. Did not note any pepper in this as others did, maybe because I opened later than others? I drink very little shiraz, and would pick up a Mollydooker the Boxer before this one in the future.

Very Rhone-like with quite elegant fine tannins and a fruit forward palate with blackberries and pepper. Not that much of meatiness of the bacon or salami type. Perhaps most reminiscent of a good Crozes or a Saint-Jo. Not sure I have enough experience to make that judgement but at least something from France over something from California. Could probably keep on being good and even becoming more balanced and drinkable in the future.

Peppery and black olive nose. Savory and black berry palate. Light and lean body - would be better with a fuller mid-palate.

Pepper, dark fruit, anise, meat and tobacco flavor with ample fine tannins.

Young, full, unready. Plenty of ripeness and structure. I think this could turn out to be pretty good given time.
