Clear light greenish gold. A Gruner with a more acidic edge & identity. Wonderfully balanced between fruit & acidity. Nerve & tension mark the palate texturally. This shows delineated layers of citrus fruit & herbal notes with a strong saline/mineral note on the back of the palate.
This drinks more like a top end Chablis than a modestly priced entry level Gruner. The freshness and wonderfully dry finish draw you back in immediately. It may not be the most complex wine, but it is entirely delicious from the first sip. Qpr is off the charts for this one.

This wine is SINGING right now and frankly Its amazing and fantastic for 15 bucks. As much as I like some of those liters of GV, this is a HUGE step up in structure and complexity. It will improve for another year too.. Screwcap is a huge plus for this wine. see previous note for flavors.

Medium-full body. Notes of guava, papaya, and a suggestion of sweet mint on the nose; on the palate, green mango and lime, pronounced minerality on the backpalate, and a touch of salt on the saline, dry finish. 12.5% ABV. While it seemed to take some time to fully open up, the little heat on the finish which followed makes me think that this is best consumed in the short term. 88-89

A well balanced wine. Perfect match with fisk and creamy sauce.

A bit too rich and uninteresting for Gruner.
