This 15 year old wine is pitch black to the edge with a half inch pour. The aromas fill the nose with black currants and black cherry. The mouth entry is refreshingly acidic, smoothly tannic, and lushly textured. The finish is delightfully delicious. Kept open for 5 days with zero deterioration. Overall, flawless, highly enjoyable, and magnificently well aged, with no need to drink up soon. A great buy at the $22 we paid, with no off taste of ashes or rubber hose that often haunt South African red wines.

Opened at our Christmas Party, so not really able to taste properly and not notes. The first thing to say was that this was in great condition, beautifully mature and in no obvious risk of falling over. I was surprised at how much like a ripe Bordeaux it tasted, with quite a strong herbal/green pepper element to the flavour but in a good, nicely integrated way. Would be happy to try again if the opportunity arose.

It is a bit fresher than the previous bottle 5+ years to go. 92-93P.

Beautiful wine - great structure, still nice fruit. Even better than my last tasting of this wine in 2010

Great wine and still with power. Red currants, black and red cherries, green pepper, cigar box. Tastes like a ripe Bordeaux. Very good.
