  • Oregon Notes.; 8/5/2016-8/26/2016: Beautiful. Really showing the potential of Oregon Chardonnay. crushed stone , citrus, zest, bright mineral notes over white flowers and lemony-lime fruit. I can drink this all day !

  • Pop N pour. Followed over 5 hours from 37 degrees to room temp

Found this in the bottom shelf on the door of the garage fridge. Hello there. What have we here? Wow.

The wax coating was a pain in the a$$, probably because it was stored in the fridge the whole time. It chipped into 45,000 pieces all over the counter.

Color was a bit more transparent and clear than expected. Great aromas of saline, white peach, some tropicals. Palate showed great acidity (that has tamed considerably since tasting 16 months ago). Finished long with terrific notes of white stone fruit. Markedly improved with air. Loved it. Worth every bit of $30 from Storyteller (Thanks Michael!)

This is another fine example of the OR Chardonnay Revolution and with non-Dijon clones!

    Great job Chad.

  • Chad Stock of Minimum Wines (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): 100% aged in half barrels for 15 months. The ph was 3.1, with 7.9 g/l of total acidity! This was produced from clones that have holistically thought simply not to ripen in Oregon, so you don't see them very often. I love the results, even at this cool site. Only 12.6% alcohol, too. Gorgeous and pretty here, too! Lots of almost stewed, heavy notes. Very thick aromatic textures. Really really creamy and smooth on the palate. Rich, thick, with lovely fruit and acid throughout. Love the palate. Huge acid on the finish, which is incredibly intense. Maybe too much so? It's a singular note of intense puckering acid and minerals on the finish. Nice.

  • Chad Stock of Minimus Wines (E&R Wine Shop; Portland, OR): This shows great aromatics. Tart kiwi, banana, and dried earth all work together on the nose while some apple scents appear subtly beneath them. The texture is full on the palate, lightened by tart acidity that rolls in hand-in-hand with some green apple flavors on the mid palate. This wine was fermented in ½ barrels, and the oak presents itself well later on. Acidity, tart flavors, and a touch of chalk linger on the finish. 88+
