(JMday@BerowraWatersInnwBunny) Deep pure ruby in glass, edging on purple. Effusive sour plums, seductive dark florals, funky soft sour cherries, with sweet juiciness. Mushroom and forestfloor on the palate, sweet, savoury and rich, yet with some pomegranate tartness, minty on the finish, showing dark, sweet plums and surprising watermelon and rose petals! Pairing with the super succulent lamb provencal reveals spicy peppers and leafy herbs. I almost fell over when our friendly (and able) sommelier Victoria revealed, rather cheekily, that it was a grenache, a barrosan, no less! Exciting stuff!

Sydney good food and wine show (Olympic Park, Homebush, Sydney): Cream, red berry, quite herby. In the mouth the red berry juice is sour and there are green notes with bitterness and a hint of astringency. Nah
