  Decanted for an hour prior to tasting. Golden yellow in the glass. Beautiful on the nose with tones of apricot, papaya and mango. It just takes some brief aeration for lactic notes to make an appearance as well, reminiscent of raspberry yogurt, butter, wood and roasted hazelnuts. A full-bodied Chardonnay with creamy texture and an invigorating acidity. Without the latter, it would certainly present itself much more satiating. 14% abv. Yellow fruits, along with lactic notes and sweetish spices on the palate. Long finish. Had this over the course of three days on which the wooden notes began to soften, also becoming more integrated. The wine appeared more elegant and balanced, then. Should hold well for the next 6 years or so.
  
  Goldgelb im Glas. In der Nase treffe ich auf Aromen von Marille, Papaya, Mango und Aprikose. Dazu gesellen sich recht schnell laktische Noten, wie Himbeerjoghurt und etwas Butter. Das Ganze wird von gerösteten Haselnüssen und präsentem Holz begleitet. Im Mund besitzt dieser recht cremige und körperreiche Chardonnay einen kräftigen Alkohol mit 14 Vol.-%. Seine Säure sorgt für die nötige Eleganz, ohne die der Wein sehr sättigend daherkommen dürfte. Auch hier zeigen sich wieder laktische Noten, gepaart mit gelben Früchten und einer süßlichen Würze. Langer Abgang. Der kann und sollte ruhig noch etwas liegen bleiben. Am dritten Tag sind die Holzaromen deutlich besser integriert und nicht mehr so vordergründig. Trotz der 14 Vol.-% die noch etwas spürbar sind, sehr viel ausgewogener und noch eleganter. Ich vermute, dass der sich bis 2020 gut halten sollte.
