As you would expect from the Franscioni, this wine is very much in the Loring style of exuberant Pinot what with its abundant red fruit with cherry dominating. Plenty of cola and vanilla, if that is your thing. Unfortunately, the wine lacks balance and presents alcoholic heat on the finish. It does not go away. Drink now; no reason to hold this. No sediment. 14.9% alc.(!) With roasted salmon. 03.14.24. Recommended with reservations.

Showing some age. Wonderful nose of cedar and tobacco with dried fruits. The taste is similar. Finish is quite long. Opened up over 2 hours and continued to improve. If you like older pinot noirs this is drinking like an aged Burgundy but with only 7 years of age on it.

Very big and ripe pinot. Nice nose that makes you want to come back it. Nice fruit, something like a truffle sage and cured meat. A little bit of heat hits the nostrils. Medium weight, silky, some spice. Tannins well developed. Fruit is ripe cherry and black plum. My conclusion is that if this is your style it's pretty amazing. I enjoyed my first half glass then found it a bit too much for me after that. My score reflects the intial impressions of nailing this style.
