  • What a stunning wine! All kinds of wax candle, nuts, stony fino aromas, but curiously doesn't really scream oxidation to me either as it has none of the attendant aldehydic sherry funk. Big, fleshy, salty, and precise mouthfeel. The most remarkable part is after you've finally swallowed and the palate begins to etch itself into your tongue, not with acidity but with saline twang and deep savoury intensity. Somewhere in between Coulee de Serrant, Fino, and a salted lime rubbed margarita, and certainly for fans of these.

  • Smooth and creamy peach and apricot, a bit nutty. Wet stone on the nose and briny in the mouth with a very persistent finish that has a lot of salinity.

  • What a peculiar and remarkable old wine. My notes are sparse but I recall this having incredible density with some unusual banana and butter aromas, wax, maybe nuts. An experience. Made the old Tondonia Blanco next to it seem almost anemic.
